Productivity Suite UK Gemini 2.2 Metadata buttons

From Productivity Suite 3.2 onwards you can utilise the new Gemini 2.2 Metadata standard, but you may find that some of the Gemini 2.2 Metadata buttons that you wish to use are not displayed on the toolbar by default. You can easily add the buttons onto the toolbar by following a few simple steps.

To begin, please open ArcCatalog and ensure that the Gemini 2.2 toolbar is displayed. You can do this by going to 'Customize', then 'Toolbars' and ensuring that the 'Metadata' toolbar is ticked. If the 'Metadata' toolbar isn’t displaying the UK Gemini buttons, please go to 'Customize', and then 'ArcCatalog Options'. You will then need to go to the 'Metadata' tab, and ensure that the 'Metadata Style' selected from the dropdown menu is 'UK Gemini v2.2'. 

  1. To display the range of Gemini 2.2 Metadata buttons, go to Customize and then go to Customize Mode.
  2. This will bring up the Customize menu which is where you’ll select the Gemini 2.2 buttons. 
  3. Go to the commands tab.
  4. In the categories menu window (see below) please scroll until you reach 'Metadata'.  You will see that the 'Commands' window is populated with all the available buttons for the Gemini  2.2  Metadata.

All you need to do from here is select the tool you want on your metadata tool bar, and drag and drop it on to the Metadata toolbar.
