The Esri training team ran a tip a day in June and have pulled all 30 together in this blog article. A couple of the desktop ones are things I’d done recently on a project to make life easier: setting the extent for the Full Extent command and giving the elements in ModelBuilder meaningful names.
Renaming model elements is something that it’s tempting to skip when you create the model – after all you know what each step is actually doing. But if someone else opens it up – or it’s been a while since you looked at it – the modified names make it much easier to understand what the model’s doing without having to grapple with the detail.
The tips are well worth a look, there might be something that makes things quicker or easier for you.
