Basemap not displaying in Operations Dashboard

There have been some reports that the Operations Dashboard Map Viewer is not displaying a basemap in the Operation View:

If this is something you are experiencing, the first thing you should check is if your Windows Operating System is fully up to date, and that you have .NET Framework 4.5 installed.

If you don't have .NET  Framework 4.5 installed, you can download it from here.

To check that Windows is up to date, please navigate to your machine's Control Panel, go into "System and Security", find "Windows Update" and then click on "Check for updates":

If you find this has not resolved your issue, you may want to try tweaking your Operations Dashboard config file.

This file will be located in a directory similar to :-

C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\8ZDDVWNR.GX5\8CQ7GB4J.0YN\oper...app_f464941b06bea132_000a.0001_ae4f295654969edc

Edit the "OperationsDashboard.exe.config" file using notepad and add the line:

<add key="useAcceleratedDisplay" value="false" />

Ensure the new line is added line between the <appSettings> and </appSettings> tags.

Save the document, and try launching your Operation View. Your basemaps should now appear.
